1. The Foreign Ministry has lifted the special travel warning it earlier issued for Gambia, and placed the country under “Blue Alert (Precautious)” instead, effective from January 24.

° The decision has been made in consideration of the waning concern over the bloodshed in Gambia in the wake of President Jammeh’s announcement on January 21 of his decision to step down from the post and go into exile in another country.

2. The nationals of the Republic of Korea visiting or staying in Gambia are advised to check the aforementioned travel warning issued by the Foreign Ministry and pay serious heed to their safety.
