Good afternoon. Let me start today’s briefing.
Minister of Foreign Affairs Cho Tae-yul will chair the 17th Korea-Central Asia Cooperation Forum in Seoul on Monday, November 4.
The Forum will bring together high-ranking foreign affairs officials of the five Central Asian countries as head delegates of those countries.
At the event, the participants will discuss ways to work together on supply chains, environment and climate change, digital transformation, and tourism -- areas with a high demand for cooperation for both Korea and Central Asia.
Moving on, Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Kim Hong Kyun will attend the 14th High-Level Forum on the Korea-Caribbean Partnership in Seoul on Tuesday, November 5.
The upcoming Forum will be co-hosted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Rural Development Administration and joined by ministers or vice ministers of agriculture of Caribbean countries as well as delegates from regional organizations in the Caribbean.
At the event on food security, one of the key issues of the international community, the participants will discuss ways for agricultural cooperation between Korea and the Caribbean.
